upway

upway is a Georgian marketplace for non-formal courses: learners find, compare and buy local courses, and course providers list them, take registrations and sell places. Its site lists about 320 courses from 28 Georgian providers, priced in lari. It was launched in 2020 by co-founders Marika Abuladze, Marisha Gogolashvili and Mariam Tsanava, and won grants from Georgia's Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA), including round IX of its co-financing programme in December 2022. The site is still online but has not been updated since mid-2024, so its current status is unknown. It is unrelated to the e-bike marketplace Upway.
