Craftgate has received an investment from Turkven as the Turkish payment orchestration company looks to expand its merchant base and develop new products. The transaction was reported on October 12, and Craftgate confirmed the investment in a company announcement outlining its plans for Türkiye and international markets.
Craftgate says it now supports payment operations for more than 600 businesses across different sectors. Its software brings multiple payment connections into one system, giving businesses a central place to manage how customers pay.
Through a single integration, merchants can connect to domestic and international payment providers and alternative payment methods. On its product website, Craftgate describes tools for directing payments between providers, retrying unsuccessful transactions and managing payment operations through a shared dashboard.
That dashboard covers tasks including refunds, cancellations and transaction reporting. The platform also offers recurring payments, saved-card functionality and e-commerce integrations, including a Shopify module. Developers can use its software libraries and test environment to connect these tools to their own applications.
The company’s four co-founders hold distinct operating roles: Hakan Erdoğan is CEO, Lemi Orhan Ergin is chief software crafter, Murathan Özcan is COO and Sabri Onur Tüzün is CTO. Their company describes its origins in work on payment systems and the problems businesses encounter across banking and payment infrastructure.
According to the transaction announcement carried by Fintechtime, the founders retain a majority stake following Turkven’s investment. The announcement describes customers in retail, tourism, e-commerce and insurance, and says the partnership will support wider distribution of Craftgate’s products and merchant support services.
Erdoğan identified AI as a focus for the next phase of product development. In the announcement, he described capabilities designed to help businesses use payment data in their decisions and manage operations more efficiently. Turkven executive Barış Seven said the investor intends to support the company in reaching more businesses and developing its product capabilities.
Craftgate’s own announcement sets out three priorities for the partnership: serving more merchants in Türkiye and global markets, accelerating product development and bringing new AI-supported capabilities to customers.
