Startup School 4 selects 70 finalists for Baku Demo Day

Startup School 4 has selected 70 finalists for its Demo Day in Baku on October 31, bringing an international cohort of founders to the final stage of the Enterprise Azerbaijan programme.

In its October 9 announcement, the organiser said nearly 350 projects from 15 countries applied and 233 entered the programme. The final 70 emerged after a training and mentoring process led by local and international experts.

Enterprise Azerbaijan operates under Azerbaijan’s Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication. Its programme, titled “Startup School 4: Five Continents, 500 Startups,” combines business training with preparation for investor presentations.

The official Demo Day programme describes 20 training sessions across 11 modules. Topics range from leadership, marketing and sales to product management, intellectual property and investment readiness. Artificial intelligence, digitalisation and sustainable economic development also feature in the curriculum.

Nearly 30 trainers and mentors contributed to the programme. The organisers list nearly 40 local and international partners and a network that includes nine venture capital funds. Applicants came from markets including Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan and the UK.

The finalist directory includes teams such as SoilCredit, TaskFlow, Nutricare and DophaMind. The directory gives visitors a way to identify the teams ahead of their presentations in Baku.

One finalist, SoilCredit, is developing an AI-powered platform focused on underused agricultural land. The company says it combines satellite and environmental data to connect land potential with sustainability opportunities for businesses. It announced its selection for the final on its company page.

Demo Day is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at Sabah.City in Baku. The event will run alongside TEI Forum 2026, focused on trade, exports and innovation, with startup pitches and an exhibition bringing teams together with investors, entrepreneurs and business and government representatives.

The planned discussions cover investment, international trade, digital transformation and the AI ecosystem. Alongside the presentations, founders will have opportunities to meet mentors and potential partners. Registration is available through the official event website for visitors joining the October 31 programme.
